You would be responsible for:

  • Primary responsibility is procurement of packaging supplies with an emphasis on services at the lowest cost, in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Interaction with Sales Representatives and the Customer Service Department
  • Quoting prices and fulfilling orders.
  • Researching and solving order fulfillment issues.
  • Coordinate supplier involvement in product development efforts.
  • Assist in qualifying new suppliers.
  • Manage and develop relationships with suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality including on-time deliveries.
  • Work with finance to resolve potential invoice/PO variances.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous purchasing experience required, and packaging a plus.
  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms and continuously improve pricing for materials and services.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook would be a plus.
  • Solid computer skills—we use multiple operating systems, so you must indicate an understanding and flexibility in learning new ones.
  • Proven track record of positive and long-standing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with managers, co-workers, as well as all departments within the company.
  • Must be detail oriented within a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description:

  • Development of strategic marketing plans.
  • Responsible for investigating trade shows, create sales literature brochures, DVD’s, price lists, target account research.
  • Ability to recommend marketing communications activities and create tactical marketing plans from high level marketing goals/objectives.
  • Initiate new campaigns, the development and execution, and works with sales to ensure effective and consistent focus.
  • Explore new opportunities as technologies emerge.
  • Plan, develop and implement technical solutions of the highest quality.
  • Responsible for primary research, utilizing custom research methodologies to create business knowledge and insight.
  • Serve as Marketing’s partner to the company’s Sales and Tech teams, working to collaboratively refine and enhance programs, as well as deliver regular training on new programs prior to their launch.
  • Builds and nurtures long term client relationships.
  • Reinforces a sense of accountability and responsibility for delivering highest quality and value to clients.
  • Responsible for a wide range of focus areas, from market research and analysis to strategic and creative development.
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of marketing communications areas including, but not limited to print advertising, direct mail, print production, web-based communications, electronic media, and sales support materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Helpful 5-7 years relevant professional work experience in marketing.
  • A leader of product category or industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a variety of cross-functional projects, from concept to execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and draw marketing implications from research or other information sources.
  • Strong partnering, leadership, written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
